Best AEO Experts is an independent editorial publication. We collect very little personal data — only what you choose to send us through the editorial form — and we explain all of it plainly below.

Who we are

Best AEO Experts ("we", "us") publishes an independently vetted ranking of AEO experts at www.bestaeoexperts.uk. For any privacy question, email editor@bestaeoexperts.uk. Under UK GDPR we are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect, and why

When you submit the editorial & placement request form we receive the details you type in: your name, email address, an optional website or LinkedIn link, the request type you select, and your message. We use these only to read and respond to your submission.

Our host may also record standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell data.

Our lawful basis

We rely on our legitimate interest in running an editorial publication and replying to people who contact us. Where you send us a nomination or enquiry, you are asking us to act on it — handling your details is a necessary part of that.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept only as long as needed to deal with your request and to maintain a reasonable editorial record, after which they are deleted. You can ask us to delete your message sooner at any time.

Who sees it

Submissions are delivered to our editorial inbox through a third-party email delivery provider that transmits the message on our behalf. The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. These providers process data on our instructions and under their own security terms; we do not otherwise share your details with anyone.

Cookies

This site does not set marketing or tracking cookies. Any cookies present are limited to what our host needs for basic security and performance.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to our use of it. Email editor@bestaeoexperts.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

People featured in the ranking

Entries in the ranking describe public professional activity and are compiled from publicly available information as editorial commentary. If you are featured and want a correction, use the form or email us and we will review it — see our Terms & Conditions.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top always shows the current version.
